I dont know why, but I like this shot alot. I really have no idea why. I was driving along the street and I saw these chairs and I had to stop. I already had the shot in my head, just like this. I just had to put the camera in the right place to get that kind of shot. Its been a long time since Ive had that feeling. It seems more of an automatic function to shoot now a days...

This is just a typical shot, but I feel like creating something different. I dont know what it is, but I just need a new location where I can get lost and schedules don't really matter, and stop and look at the sunset for what it is every once in a while...and just appreciate it. I want to be lost, I find my greatest inspiration there.

I have been quite uninspired for a long time. I haven't had any seriously original work in a long time. Photographs for the paper, a photo shoot with a meetup group, friends want pictures taken...all fine and dandy, but its all automatic. I haven't really taken photos for myself in a long while, I enjoy and miss it. I just find myself longing for peace and focus...not sure if that is the word I want. Longing for for quietness of mind?

I used to be very involved in photography and art. I find it funny how people say that In photography, when I really get into it, I have this quietness of mind. Nothing else really matters, its just me and a camera. Simple distractions don't matter, its about me and the pictures in my mind. Time flies and its complete focus. I see pictures before I pick up the camera. Photography was not about learning how to create a photograph, I already had that. It was learning how to use the camera as a tool in order to make other people be able to see the same things I did. Does that make sense?

I miss that feeling. I haven't felt it in a long time. There are some photos that it just happens, and although todays post isnt very personal, I felt its stirrings. A few of my favorite examples of it is here, here, and here.

Then again, maybe I have no idea what I am talking about.
