I'm sad to say that FellowEskimo.net has come to an end. This site, especially the name, was created from a name given to me by my now ex-boyfriend of six years. Since I no longer want anything to do with him or the name 'eskimo', im abandoning FE completely. I will keep it on my server and online for anyone who wants to look at my photos and such, but there will be no more updating here. If you want to contact me, feel free to do so at felloweskimoNOSPAM@NOSPAMPLEASEgmail.com, removing the caps.

And I do not have plans to start blogging again im afraid. Bye peoples, you were great.

It has been a hell of a summer thus far. I have had many new experiences since it started and more yet to come. Just to summarize:

Ive hiked to eight waterfalls. Three of which were in Costa Rica.

I swam in five of them.

I jumped off of a forty foot waterfall in Costa Rica...and hurt my tail bone.

I went white water rafting on the Chattooga River with class III, IV, and V rapids.

I backpacked to Costa Rica for a week, doh.

I swam in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

I zip lined through the canopy of the rain forest of Costa Rica.

I ate a new fruit and loved it: Guanabana

I ate a coconut right off the beach.

I got a new (used) car and I am learning how to drive it; damn manual transmissions.

Im going to Canada for the longest time yet; 35 days.

I will fly *with* Logan for the first time ever.

I moved in with my sister in South Carolina. My family has moved to Louisiana.
------

Thats all I can think of right now. BTW, this picture is of me swimming in a waterfall pool in Costa Rica. It was waaaaaaaaaarm and very nice after about a mile moderate hike.

I havent picked up my camera in two weeks. I just havent felt the urge. The above photo was taken in late April when I went to North Georgia for a hiking trip. It was an awesome trip, however a little too much adult drama for my tastes. I accomplished one of my dreams: to be under a waterfall. It was veeeeeeeeery cold, let me tell you. About 45 degrees or so, near freezing. The outside temp was about 70...but that water was cold!

I go to Costa Rica in about a week. I cant wait. It will be fuuuuuun. I have to get lots of shots tomorrow, not so fun. My family is moving monday. Lots of summer news. More summer hours. But hey, thats life.

From the Tapps

I had to do a shoot this week from the Tapps building which houses a gym as well as some *very* nice apartments. This shot is from the roof, and although the parking garage is not that pretty, I like the chapel and the composition.

I sold one of my artworks today to an art professor. It made me feel quite honored to have my framed photographs in not one professors house, but two. That is nice. And to be paid for both of them is excellent. So my abstract piece will not be appearing in the art show, due to it already being sold for a pretty penny.

I routinely use this program to combine exposures in shots and to create HDR images. I love it, but unfortunately the trial puts a watermark on everything...so to get a picture, I have to keep it below 1024 pixels, and take a screen shot of the result. Its not ideal, but it is ok. However, I just found out that they offer a 70% educational discount to students and teachers, which makes the program much more affordable at 30 dollars. I may consider getting the full version.

And just a note about VA tech...that is so sad. Just...why? Gun control people...
This is the second version of this photo taken a year later. I have a new bathroom this year, a new color tiles. This one is much prettier than last year, I think.

It has been a very busy past few days. Lots of work for me. I babysat my niece on Saturday, tutored on Saturday, had a short photo shoot on Thursday and Friday, had another shoot at a dog show on Saturday, had a long photo shoot with sorority girls playing in whipped cream, and volunteered at the Ronald McDonald house. Was very busy. I had so many photos to edit tonight...

Some of my photographs will be in an auction for my school's honors program. Half the proceeds go to the program. Some of the works included are this triptych, CC fountain at night, and the foggy night, but with a blue cast instead of this sepia. There is also a abstract montage on sale that has never been published here. If you want to buy some, they are all framed in very nice frames and printed on archival quality paper with archival ink. The auction will be at Columbia College, Columbia SC in Harrison Building from 10-3 next Saturday, the 21st of April. Please come by.

Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra link back.
Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do your post and it should pass to most blogs with that keyword.
Take the adds from the blog that added you and place them in the “Originals” list.
Add at least 1 new blog that you KNOW is using the DO FOLLOW plugin to the list in the “My Adds” section. (Add no more than 5!) Let the people you’ve added know, so that they can keep the list going!
Although I do not know much about mortgages myself, I have a family who owns many properties and thus, has many mortgages. This site provides valuable quotes for Mortgages. The price of houses are falling which may not be so great for people who currently own a home, but it will be good for people like me who in a couple of years will be starting out to buy their first home. Mortgages are probably (most likely) the biggest investment you will ever have to make in order to have your dream home. Sometimes we may need to even invest in remortgaging our homes. This mortgage site provides great info and even articles on mortgages and even extends to credit cards and insurance. So go check it out.

Ah, its Wednesday. Hump day. Middle of the week. It feels like its been a long week already. Two tests so far this week, and a 10 page paper due on Friday. Not fun. I went to our schools health fair today and I am proud to say that I have average blood sugar levels, do not have sickle cell anemia, have a healthy body mass index, have excellent vision, and in overall good health. The only odd thing was when I got my finger stuck for the blood sugar and sickle cell, they said I was a bleeder. And it was definitely flowing free!

I made the previous paid post from PPP because I couldn't turn up the offer. I will probably have a couple more on the site in the next few days, just to get some cash in my pocket. I'm making good money from it, but thats another post entirely (a paid one, no less). I know it doesn't really fit with the decor of the site, but it paid extremely well for a post that required only 100 words and a link. I couldn't turn it up.

I cant wait to go to Costa Rica....

Although I have never had a problem with drugs or alcohol myself, I have known several college students to take it a step to far. They eventually end up dropping out, or don't even make it though high school. Sober College offers a unique alternative to just dropping out to college. Instead of learning math, they will be learning important life skills, such as how to manage stress. Their curriculum employs use of the 12 step program to sobriety and recovery. I think it is a great idea to offer such a service to young people who are in need of just a little bit of help to get back on track with life. So go check out the site, they have a lot to offer!

Easter Birthday

And another year passes. Birthdays usually do not mean alot to me, or have any profound effect. This one didnt have so much a profound effect as it just affected me to a greater extent that birthdays do. I turned twenty years old. I am no longer a teen. I feel more adult like. I am a twenty-something (or just the twenty, or something). I work with children that were born in the 21st century. I was born in the 80s. That is scary.

It was almost a week long celebration. On wednesday, my friends took me out to dinner. On friday was my actual birthday, and one friend hand made me a cake to wake me up with. Not to mention the several phone calls I received in the early dawn hours of my day off and my birthday. I had a nice german chocolate cake at home with my favorite homemade dinner. On saturday, I treated myself to a 20 dollar manicure. But alas, the birthday celebrations are over. Back to life.

School is over in three weeks. I can hardly believe it. I will be half way done with college. Half of my college life is over, but I know the best is yet to come. I will be going to costa rica in a matter of two months. I have my ticket in hand. It is for sure. Logan is figuring out what he is going to do for his *last* year of school and better yet, what to do right after. Its the years we've been waiting for so long. They are finally coming, but my god its starting to scare me. Ive been with him a fourth of my lifetime, over five years. We've looked forward to what we would do after college and college is almost over for him, and in two more years...me. Wow.

So yes, this birthday has meant alot to me. I didnt get alot of gifts, but I guess that happens when you get older. I got a sweatshirt (its a nice one), a card from Lauren, a card from logans mother, a card from my mother, and some cash from my mom. Oh, and two webcams from my sister. So, it was a good birthday. I forgot, I have one more birthday dinner with my sister tomorrow...

So im twenty years old. Wow. I'm old now.
